  1. He was pretty inactive last game actually and it actually helped him from getting lynched until the very last day. lurking is a sign of scum. He was pretty active to start the game. I just went back and read the thread to see how the scum and vigilante acted throughout the game to see if I could gain any tells for this game. With that said, if EVERYONE thinks scum lurk then why would you lurk if you were scum if you thought it made you suspicious. Wouldn't you maybe do the opposite and post 24 times instead of 3 times. I mean, no way Preston can be scum right, because he has posted so much and given all this analysis on why everyone else is scum? lol I get that if he remains inactive then he would be of no use to the town and heck, he may even really be an inactive scum and we have a real quick and easy game by lynching him so early. Or he may be some power role that comes back Sunday night, catches up on this thread, and can efefctively use his role if he isn't lynched. I am not advocating that he must be saved because lord knows if we lynch and he turns up scum I wouldn't be able to think of a thing to say to convince anyone I wasn't trying to back up a fellow mafia mate and I'd be lynched shortly after as the only one backing him, but I am advising caution. Unless someone links me to some statistical analysis that says town should lynch people every day, I still don't think lynching right away is the way to go. Kevin said no mass declares or he makes the scum stronger. Is that a normal option in these games or can that actually be a helpful hint on how many scum there might be and what kind of roles fellow town have?
  2. Maybe Montosh is brilliant. Last round he played like a very active town when we was scum, but now if he is scum again he is doing absolutely nothing and in line to get lynched. Maybe he is some expert player and knows how to mix it up, but I find it suspicious that he is now at 4 votes and will be hung at the end of day one if things don't change. Preston, I don't have a single fluff post. Even the post where I replied about my avatar, I used to also had my initial vote. I have to admit, i struggled to decide to write my first post. I typed up a bunch of stuff about how I was excited to play and looking forward to getting to know everyone, but then I didn't want to sound like a n00b. I figured if I was a vet player, I'd probably be suspicious of a new player sounding like too much of a new player. I really do overthink this stuff sometimes. If it helps, I have my own list with players in order who I suspect and with the 4th vote on montosh, that list just changed.
  3. I don't suspect you anymore than I suspect Preston, Robert, Kaz, etc.. I was just tossing it out there to see what kind of reaction I would get from you and anyone else. It seems like that is what the rest of everyone else is doing and I wanted to play. I still think no lynch is the way to go for Day 1.
  4. Many of you continue to parrot the same stuff that's been said. Unvote: No LynchVote: ABigDeer You bandwagoned onto Lyner and you come across trying to oversell yourself as town.
  5. I screwed up the quoting above and was trying to post a reply to part of Preston's post, but it looks like I am quoting Preston quoting EM.
  6. I am actually leaning towards everyone voting no-lynch not being scum and those screaming about it as being scummy. If everything you say is true, then scum would hide in the shadows and not vote for it. Not only does it not benefit them by not getting a free townie lynch, but who says they are any more organized than the rest of us? Now we have given them the same amount of time and information to assess who is strong or weak in this game and decide who to kill at night.
  7. I am suspicious of almost all of you at this point. Rather than additional conversation creating a small pool of suspects (for me), its created mostly confusion and I feel like I am over-reading whats been said.
  8. Preston, I didn't quote it, but that was a good post. It is interesting to see what some of you "vets" read into other posts and how I don't quite see the same thing. I actually became suspicious of D3mon when he so quickly jumped off the no-lynch bandwagon because it seemed like an opportune moment (OOC - I didn't realize the day ended when we hit majority and while I will stick with the no lynch for day 1, I realize now I should have just held the vote until I saw a lot more discussion.)
  9. I personally don't think you learn much before people start dying which is why the no-lynch on Day 1. The scum only benefit from free lynches unless we get random lucky. People voting for people right away comes across scummy to me and if you are not scum, you are just confusing the rest of us.
  10. I've been using it a long time and have no idea who she is. I will also come out and say: Vote: No Lynch
  11. I have internet access, so while I am away I will be able to keep up with this thread and I will be home the night of the 2nd.
  12. I'd like to play but am still on family vacation until 2 jan.

This game seems about over. Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but when I didn't get a reply for a couple days I figured maybe I'd check back in after the game ends.

I want to play next game. I've not played before, but have been following the current game, read a bit of the available threads, and feel like I have a good idea what to do and not to do.
  15. Hershey is great with this stuff too, for future reference.
  16. I don't mind spiders unless they are running around the floor of my house. I rarely see any spiders in my house and if they are in the basement, I leave them alone. If they can find any food down there, good for them.
  17. It was a decent kids cartoon, but there are a dozen better of the same genre. Very over-hyped.
  18. This is a great thread. DeathMerchant, I completely feel you on Sprint. I've had them for years, even though I usually switch up service every two years, chasing the best deals. Rather than keep doing that, I call my cable and phone providers annually (usually after surfing the web to see what great deals they are currently offering) and getting them to package more stuff at no cost or providing a bigger discount. So last night about 7pm a Time Warner guy shows up at my house saying they want to offer a free upgrade to their Ultimate package. It is a customer loyalty program according to him. Current speed is 100/5 mbps and eventually up to 300 mbps download. The reality is I live in Kansas City and Google Fiber has been buried in my front yard and I am waiting on a date in the Spring for their service to be connected to my house. I imagine that's when Time Warner will have faster service as well. So anyway, I am down with free stuff. I currenttly pay them 65 a month for 35/5 mbps which is usually fast enough for most things I do. So he realizes I have my own modem and router and while my currently modem (Motorola Surfboard DOCSIS 3.0) is rated to handle over 300 mbps the people he talks with on the phone seem to think I will need their modem when these speeds over 100 eventually arrive and want to charge me 5 bucks a month to rent their modem. Rather than just accept an increase of 5 bucks a month after he got in my door by saying "free upgrade" I tell them that is unsat and ask them if I was on the basic cable plan (15/1) paying 40 bucks a month, would he also offer me this free upgrade. The answer is yes, so I ask them to comp 5 bucks to the account. He talked to two people and they didn't get it, so then I had them downgrade my service to basic and then give me the free upgrade to Ultimate so they could charge me the 5 more bucks for using their modem that I don't need to use. New cable bill is 45 a month. The best part is that in a month I will swap back to my modem and return their shit to save the extra 5 bucks. I take that back; the real best part is I can't wait for Google to be connected to my house so I won't have to ever deal with Time Warner again.
  19. 2 I feel like five was a record. I didn't go back to check.
