Hey guys. I'd like to share some life experience with y'all. I haven't been in IRON long but y'all are pretty entertaining to talk to and beyond that, we all know when it's time to get serious with our discussions and treat each other like family. Despite having met none of you, despite the controversies over my name (expected), I felt welcome and IRON is the sole reason I play CyberNations. Now as some of you know, I am a single father with sole custody of my son ( 1 1/2yr old). His mother cheated with a drug dealer, got hooked on dealing heroine (and apparently taking meth I found out this week) and other dangerous behavior. Before I could get an order from the court to keep her away from our son for his safety, she kidnapped him and ran off. It took the police and myself almost a month to find him (I missed his first birthday. I'm devastated to this day by that.) The police found him in a trailer with people I never heard of on the other side of the metroplex. She wasn't with him. I am thankful he is safe with me. During that month, I don't know what happened. He, despite being so young before this, would speak basic words, crawl around, and was healthy (he was premature with some lung problems, so healthy as he can get.) I got him and he wouldn't say anything. No muttering mama or dada. He'd barely crawl and wanted me to hold him 14/7. He was skinny and looked sick. It still breaks my heart in two to ever think a kid, especially my own, could look like that.. He is doing alot better now. He talks non stop, walks without falling, is not only a healthy weight and height, he's in the upper percentile (88% on height, 72% on weight). I lost a good job to take care of him, I had my truck repo'ed, and I lost my place to live (moved in with my mother.) It was all worth it to see him healthy now. I have a car now, a decent job (I make about 50% what I used to, but I can survive.) I still am having to live with my mother before I jump on that gun and resettle my son. What's the point of this? After all this, my view of women and marriage has been completely fucked. I can't even stand to flirt with women, yet alone try to date them. I'm disgusted. I kept thinking every woman would turn into my estranged ex wkfe. IVE never been racist (hard to believe with my name), but my ex wife was hispanic and born in Mexico. The way her, her family, and even non-related Hispanics acted during the entire ordeal makes me uneasy around hispanics. I can't trust them like I used to. It's something I do without thinking about. I just naturally have my guard up when they're around. I'm ashamed of it. Having been in the military, I had Hispanics I trusted my life with. Guys I would trust if I gave my life for, they would be worth it. Those guys I still talk to, I still treat them like any of my other brothers, but they are the expecting to the rule. Beyond them, I just can't look at them the same. If anyone here is hispanic, I mean no offense. Im venting. I understand it isn't an okay behavior, which is why I'm ashamed. I don't need anyone telling me it's bad, I know that. The reason I'm saying this, is I finally feel i'm healing. I joined a dating site after being bombarded by one of my Marine buddies and even my own mother, and I honestly am feeling more secure about moving on with life. Of course, I've talked to some batshit crazy women from it, but some seem genuinely sweet. My buddies have also set me up on a few blind dates, none of them really stood out but it's progress. I began working out again. I dropped from 175 to 125 in 2 months from the stress of her taking my son and even the way I got him back. I almost ended up in the hospital because I could barely stand or walk. I would have episodes where I stayed up for 4-5days straight, sleep for literally 2 or 3 hours and do it again. Having PTSD did not help any of this. I don't sleep well anyway, but that was alot for me. I'm happy to say I'm back up to 165 and aiming to hit the 195 I was in the military. You guys don't know, but these forums have been an escape for me. When I'm feeling down or out, I come on here and just read posts, some 2 or 3 years old. I talk to people. You guys have provided me an escape when I need one. I thank you guys for that. I just wanted to let you guys know how you have helped me, and where I am in life. It only gets better from here, the hard part is done. Thank you guys and I really hope you guys truly feel proud. Y'all deserve it. You never know when you can make someone better. Granted alot of outside help was involved, yall played a role. Thank you. Here's to moving on and getting better.

I agree. The fact that Robert will not be any help at all (as well as Fermion's defense) has me considering switching to him. If no one else votes for him before Sunday I'll switch my vote.At the risk of looking like a scum by 1) changing my stance and 2) making the lynching vote. I'll do it. Robert is way too inactive, there is lurking, there is harmless inactivity, and there is inactivity that harms the town no matter if he is town or scum. Robert's inactivity (can someone check on him? Is he having RL problems? I haven't seen him on other posts at all lately. Gotta make sure he's okay.) Hurts the town, despite his role. My problem is by lynching him, we don't get much information. He is simply being lynch for being inactive. He hasn't made any post at all for us to go off of. I honestly don't think anyone voting for him so far would be scum, why would scum want to wagon someone who provides no information? Let's hope he's not the cop. That'd suck. Unvote. Vote Robert2424

Trump is dismantling people one by one, then he recruits them to work for him. Impressive if you ask me. I wanted Ben Carson, and was fairly against Trump at first. I think I've warmed up to the idea.

I'd like to add to this. Rafay is giving me a Townie feel, as well as Imran. Despite our disagreement on him wanting to lynch (his playstyle from my understanding) and I feel a no lynch would prevent risks, Imran seems to have the towns best interest from the way I'm deciphering his posts. He hasn't done anything scummy (try to create a wagon on bs reasons, flip-flop his opinions, etc). As for Whitebeard, I feel it being his first game and him not yet understanding everyone's playstyles can explain his behavior fairly well. As for Ferm, I really dont have a strong enough opinion either way to join a discussion about him yet. I don't get a town feel for certain, but I'm also not getting a huge scum feeling from his as well. My biggest suspicion on scum would be Isocialism. At this point, I don't feel he is contributing as much as everyone else (or relatively close) in figuring out a game plan for the town. His posts seem to have little to no weigh in my opinion. Now back to the lynch v. No lynch debate, I feel a majority of us thought (despite the front page saying each living player is one real day) didn't think Kevin would hold true to the 2 week long D1. At least I didnt. I do believe we can get more information in 13 days than most D1s. Now, enough to convince me to lynch D1 is in the air, but if we can get a strong enough feeling towards someone being scum, i.e. someone royally messes up, I'll admit I'd put my stance behind me and cast a vote. Okay my phone reset whIle I was writing the message so I'll be short. 1) AbT - while I agree the most likely situation is cop survives til D3, that's being hopeful. We also have to plan for the worst case, cop gets hit N1 or they get back to back power roles. We've discussed alot about best case scenario and what we plan to do in a good event. But I think reading over your message brought the point of we need to plan for worst case scenario. 2) As for the no lynch vs. Lynch debate, I still feel a no lynch would hold beneficial for the previous reasons I listed but it seems the majority wants to lynch. We should still wait for some others responses before we dive in to that but I feel we need to be cooperative on our decisions. If the majority want to lynch, the few of us who don't want to need to cast a vote somewhere because it'd be holding back the group effort. Basically, we need to work as a group to win this. 3) based on #2, does anyone have any direction where they want to head with the lynch debate? It seems Isocialism is the center of it right now, but I don't feel just lurking is a cause to lynch. He might not know how to contribute to the discussion or might be wanting to lay low to avoid getting on the scums radar as we know they are going to target the most active of us first. But on that note, lurking does not benefit the town.

That's entirely true, but on D2, the cop would've been able to get at least 1 night action in confirming a Townie or scum and leave some sort of trial hopefully. Being down 1 townie by D2 is alot better than being down 2 townie, or if the Vigilante does end up using his role and gets the wrong scent, we could essentially be down 3 townies by D2 if we just go around killing and lynching people. I'm not against lynching on D2 because we would at least have some sort of path to follow by looking at whoever got lynched. On D1, however, I don't feel we have anything at all to go off of.

So you think we should have been lynching if there were more power roles? In role madness games? In this game we have a much less probability of hitting a power role compared to other games. So this means we should be lynching. You havent looked to scummy to me until this point, but your last post is pretty scum worthy. I can see both sides here but I have to agree with TW. If we accidentally lynch a power role on D1, our whole plan can go down the drain. If we hit the cop or vig, we're in a pretty tight spot. I think lynching D1, we're solely going on who gives off a scum vibe with no real evidence. We have a huge chance of hitting a Townie over a scum. I don't feel as if we should be taking risks like that this early on.

What about an hidden code type thing? Like for example the cop spells it out in a really non-obvious way unless you're looking for it. Example: numbers next to our member list on the first post. If he posts something that fits in but tries to refrain from using numbers, then drops a 6 like "we have 6 night actions possible" or a 13 "every individual plays a part since we only have 13 players." Numbers are used alot in our posts, but if the cop uses 1 a day and some of us do the same, scum won't be able to track it. We just spoke slip a number into a post here or there, cop does it once with a few other townie and bam, we have a code to look back on that's fairly hard to spot. Sorry I'd it confuses anyone, im.on my phone.

My view on that is it seems worth the risk. On D2, several people are bound to be right. Thecop may find scum or confirm a Townie, but I doubt the cop will be the only one who says who is who correctly. Odds are the cop will stay safe. By D3, the odds are going against the cop because it's hard to make 2 correct random choices in a row, but he won't be the only one. By that point, we have 2 pieces of information. With 2 people already being dead at the point, and if we lynch on D2, it'd be 3 people down, those 2 names still help. We get the information we need in my book. Any plan is going to pose risks because if us townie can figure it out, so can scum. It is just a level of does the benefits outweigh the risk. In this case, I think the plan would still work.

I don't think the Vigilante should and the doctor is a scum role. Kind of draws speculation as to why you'd mention a scum role.

I could see that backfiring. If we make random nonsense to try and avert attention from the cop, we'd also be drowning out any noise from the scum if I'm understanding correctly. As for the hints, I feel the cop may be risking it there so they would have to be extremely clever. Scum would be looking for any indicator on who is the cop, that's their target #1. If their are hints, they'd have to be subtle enough to fit in the conversation but obvious enough to kind of spell it out what they found. That second part is what scares me though, in case it is obvious enough for a scum to pick up and cops gone with us only having one hint.. I can see the benefit though if the cop leaves opinions on people when he finds something out (during the course of one day, the conversation usually circles through everyone.) If he's killed, we'd have that "opinion" to go off of. With such limited players, confirming a Townie is almost as good as confirming a scum. Also, can anyone ping isocialism?

I think I'd stand firm on the cop coming out on D3. Despite if he finds a scum on N1, I still think he has a good chance of making it past N2 alive and giving us more results.

If we have a shotgun if I remember correctly, I don't know any shotgun with over a dozen shots before reloading so ima go ahead and vote for trying to remain quiet.

Very true actually... I actually want to discuss some kind of game plan for the town here. Should we let the cop use the 1st 2-3 night actions? He can't come out with his results early I think, BUT if he happens to get killed before he reveals his results, we're screwed... That Framer and Mafia Role Cop (who might also get the 1st 2-3 night actions from the Mafia) might be a game breaker as well. Or how do we want to play this? We have only 3 PR and potentially 6 night actions, where the cop is the most important one. I have no idea if/when it's or will be smart to use the other 2 roles? I really have no clue how hard it'll be to win this game as the town and how different it'll be from the normal games. On my phone so bare with me (Internet service is out.) I feel the best strategy would be getting the cop to last until D3 (2 night actions.) Vigilante and Jail keeper (who in my opinion shold be treated like a VT) hold off and hopefully the cop and Vigilante last til D3. The cop releases the names and findings, because I don't think we should risk going into D4 with the cop dead and no information. If he finds a scum, Townes Lynch and Vigilante gets the next best guess. By D4, we should have a pretty good guess at whose scum. As for the framer, odds are the framer and cop won't hit the same person. I don't think that'll be much of a worry. Vote KH With a name like Hitler, he has to be scum. Also I just seen the game days last as how many players are alive. D1 is 13days long?

I think after seeing all the hype around this show on the forums, I'm going to give it a try. I'll be back in a few days after I binge watch this shit til I'm up to where everyone else is.
