Texas Justice II - GAME OVER!

Endgame - CLICK ME

TEXAS JUSTICE II

During the night, you hear a shot echoing from the town hall. Each townsperson alerts the other, and slowly a small crowd of people, each carrying a rifle, run to the hall. Slowly, carefully, you search the hall. Entering the Mayor's office, you see Mole Stargazer shot dead, his blood leaking all over his desk. Clutched in his hand is a note, written in a hurried scrawl.

"People!

The town is not safe! The mafia are about to kill me, I've not given them money.

Find them! Shoot them! Hur

The note trails off into a scribble, adorned with blood. Looking around with a shudder, you realise there are Mafia amongst you. The doors are slammed shut, and the rifles are readied - but you're willing to try discussion first.

@EM - I understand you wanting to kill off Jesus right now (god I keep sounding silly...), but it's as CD said, he can't harm us. I'd have to think right now, his death is most likely inevitable. However, we can at least get who he thinks is scum and go from there.
If we can't shoot 'em can we just rough 'em up a little?

sure

dang SJ! you were supposed to let the town decide who dies first not decide yourself. do you realize what you may have just done if you are indeed a townie? you just made yourself the next target to die...and if you are indeed a townie...then essentially it becomes LYLO.

no one shoot SJ! i repeat: NO ONE SHOOT SJ!!!! at least until we catch someone we think is scum. scum could theoretically win the game if the person that shoots SJ is a townie and then is shot themselves by a townie.

Hmmmm why is it taking him so long? But you know what, I'm thinking like what vgm said, scum can't act this early, and draw too much attention to themselves, that would make Jesus less scummy. Just a thought.

Well, wasn't that the risk of your strategy in the first place? Just that there's discussions instead of impulse killing.

indeed. but there was meant to be discussion not impulse killing! impulse killing is the one "weakness" of my plan so to speak. especially townies that were stupid enough to impulse kill...i pray that SJ is scum else that was probably one of the stupidest moves in townie history...

and yes i'm a little ticked off right now...

Right. But if Jesus is scum, look at it this way. An unused bullet would also hurt scum (if said bullet came from their team). And Jesus, thinking he might be dead one way or the other, figured it was just best to go out, all guns a blazing.

I can only think of 2 reasons why he fired the first shot.

1. He is a townie and wanted to shoot it at a possible scum before dying.

2. He is scum and wanted to shoot it at a townie before dying.

I said this a bit earlier.

That is exactly what Sir Jesus did. Actions speak louder than words and we already heard what Sir Jesus had to say when he killed Aquinas. I say we just kill 'em now.

Do it. You have the power EM, you've got the bullet and the gun and the anger. Make it all happen, blast me away. But you won't because you are scum and you want to save your last shot.

The thing is Sir Jesus, we're trying to shoot people based on consensus. Because it will be more indicative of alignments. Shooting a person who will shoot you negates that plan, and the risk of dying and not firing your own bullet is a price for collective security, that of knowing with greater probability who is townie and who is not.

If your intuition has always been spot on, why is a townie dead?

I never agreed with the plan, I found it illogical from the start. I also know there was an infinitely higher chance that I am townie then Aquinas. Also, my intuition was NOT that Aquinas was scum. I did not want to shoot him, but he forced me to. :(

I too thought Aquinas was a bit aggressive for someone who was inactive for brief time.

You haven't been shot yet so please share with us your intuition. If you are indeed a townie, you need to convey that to us who you think is scum before someone shoots you.

EM. I have a really strong feeling about EM. Of course that is a preliminary intuition but he seems by far the scummiest to me. I can't place my finger on it, but something definitely seems fishy on his end.

Also, irrational or not, I do think that A) it was too quick, B ) you could have waited before killing him.

Point A) and point B) are the same, you think I fired too quickly before making better judgement. I disagree, all that had to happen was 2 scum and a townie say "aye" and I'm done for. That could have been carried out while I was eating lunch...

@Sir Jesus - as Vgm and I have requested...can you please share with us your thoughts on who is scum?

Right now, EM. So far everyone has seemed pretty pro-town to me, except him. He has taken control of the game (whether anyone realizes it or not) and people have completely disregarded the fact that he could be playing everyone as a fool as he manufactures townie death after townie death. Again I have no concrete evidence, call it a gut feeling.

This is part of the post that stood out for me.

You shot someone whom you didn't even get a vibe for.

While in theory that an unused bullet may hurt scum the chance of not firing their weapon is very close to zero. As I said before, we should always shoot the person who fired last and vote as a team on who is going to be the next to pull the trigger. We shouldn't even be discussing if Sir Jesus should be shot, only who is next to shoot him.

No because I would rather vote for scum to shoot you.

It's funny that when I pressed you on exactly what about the plan you didn't like you did not have anything. Just that you didn't like it. Perhaps you had nothing to say because you knew it was a good plan.

Maybe you just don't like how aggressive I am in going after scum and it makes you uncomfortable.

That would have been 4 out of 9 people. That's almost a majority and something that could have taken a long time. You've played plenty of mafia games in the past to know that it takes a while to muster up 4 votes. Shoot, you just capped Aquinas and went against everything the town told you not to do and I still can't get 3 other people to want to kill you.

How am I controlling the game and playing everyone for a fool? Was it because I discuss the best ways for the town to win? Is it because I gave examples and demonstrated and proven which methods will yield the best results? Is it because I want people to vote on who we want to kill instead of playing vigilante? That doesn't smell fishy to me at all, it smells like democracy, like freedom itself.

Thank you vgm.

Good point CD, I never thought about that one. I'd like to hear your explanation on this one, it won't change my mind one way or another but I'd still like to hear your story.

Sratch the last part, I just read his explanation in the previous post. It screws me up that this forum doesn't tell you that a post has been during the time it takes to write your post like our last forums did.

Yes, it is quite frustrating about these forums.

EM: If you truly think I'm guilty then shoot me. I have given you several reasons for why the democratic plan is illogical, whether or not you agree with them is up to you. I have not been ignoring you, or anyone for that matter.

Have you really given us several reasons? I never recalled you giving several reason so I went back through all of your posts. Only two had any mention of you not liking the plan but they both are the same flawed idea, just repeated. This is not several reasons, this is one reason and it is flawed. Here's why, you say you are going to take someone out with you, how is that possible now? And if target the person that kills you, how are they going to take someone out with them? They've already used their bullet on you. The only way this would ever get out of order is when a scum is targeted to do the next killing, then they will most likely target a townie with a bullet left. The plan is not flawed, you've just been caught.

I like Narsis' idea, but I see a flaw. If I'm about to get voted for, I know personally I will take someone out with me before the hammer vote.

Kevin's strategy obviously was perfect and I would not have opposed it. Narsis' plan is flawed because the moment someone realizes they are about to be shot, they will fire whether they are guilty or not.

This is a very interesting setup, I'm interested to see what happens.

i'm sick of you saying that the plan is so illogical and yet not saying why. sure scum would shoot a townie with a bullet if they are next in line to shoot someone without a bullet, but that still isn't a problem at this point in time. in fact, by the time it would become a problem, the scum would have the capacity to win the game.

also, i find it slightly unnerving and a bit suspicious that you are attempting to coax EM into shooting you.

Answer: Self-Defense

I almost considered shooting EM, but if he is townie then that surely would have been an unwarranted kill and I doubt I would still be talking.

Maybe...maybe not. You could have chosen to present your intuitons and killed EM but you still chose Aquinas. You should have known that you would have faced some scrutiny when you fired the first shot.

also, i find it slightly unnerving and a bit suspicious that you are attempting to coax EM into shooting you.

I found it odd too. I can only think of these possible reasons...

1. SJ is townie and is goading EM (whom he thinks is scum now) to waste his shot. This would prevent another townie from wasting his shot.

2. SJ is scum and just wants EM to use his shot.

And for the real devious mafia players...

3. SJ is scum and is goading EM in attempt for the town to suggest EM not to use his shot cuz EM is his scum buddy (a bit far fetched but still a possibility).
