The guests sit down to dinner. They had each won an essay writing contest sponsored by Horror writer Stephen King. They had to explain which character from the television show The Dead Zone was there favorite and why. There had been tens of thousands of entries and only one entry was picked for each character.

Here you are now one of the chosen few, sitting down to dinner with Stephen King himself at the welcoming party he is throwing at his Maine estate for the winners before the start of the grand prize, a Dead Zone themed weekend that will be attended by the actors who played your favorite characters.

Dinner is over and you all go off to bed, after all tomorrow is going to be a big day. There was a major storm during the night and you hardly slept at all between the thunder and anticipation. You head on down to the dining room for breakfast.

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a good night’s sleep. I regret to inform you that the bridge is out; it seems it was swept away in
the storm. Sadly this means that the cast will not be able to get here. The lights suddenly go out and there is a loud roar of thunder and a bolt of lightning illuminates the room. The lights quickly come back on but you decide it’s better to be safe and hand out flashlights to all the guests only something is wrong. As you give the last of the guests a flashlight you realize there isn’t one left for you. “This is strange, there were only supposed to be the x of you and I had enough flashlights for myself and each of you. It appears someone has crashed the party.” Before Mr. King can elaborate the lights go out again, only this time they stay out for several minutes. When the lights come back on you see Mr. King covered in blood, dead from multiple stab wounds. There is a note written in almost illegible writing.

 

“Welcome to The Dead Zone. By now you have probably begun to notice that things are not quite right. No matter for worry, I simply drugged last night’s meal. I’m sorry I had to kill Mr. King but he said I was not important enough for the contest, so nobody wrote letters for me. It’s time to play a little game, were going to see just how well you know your favorite characters. You have to figure out who I am before I kill all of you. The lights are set to go out again in 1 hours’ time, at which point I will kill again. We will keep playing this little game until you are all dead, good luck.”

 

Panic starts to spread until Reverend Purdy stands up and calls for calm. Wait Reverend Purdy, but he’s a fictional character. He seems to be making sense so you decide to go with it. The group all agrees with his plan, you will work together to find the killer before time runs out. People start making wild accusations about each other before Greg Stillson calls for quite; at this point fictional characters are the least of your concern. He suggests that we vote on whom to kill, surprisingly Johnny agrees with him.

So 2 deaths and 2 power roles dead, I have a feeling this game might be similar to the game Kaz ran awhile ago that most if not all people have some sort of power role.

I think everyone has a 'power' role, but there are roles that are also detrimental, as evidenced by the miller.  

 

My guesses for some of the roles we haven't seen yet, based on having watched the show:

 

Johnny Smith: Seer

Sarah Bannerman: Probably 'Lover' to Johnny Smith (the Lover dies, the other one dies too) or a 'Beloved Princess' type role (when she dies, the day phase is skipped)

JJ Bannerman: Probably an Innocent Child role or a Beloved role

Bruce Lewis: Probably a Sidekick (can redirect a night kill onto themselves) 

Walt Bannerman: Either a Cop role or another Jailer

Deputy Roscoe: Probably a Deputy (becomes cop after Walt Bannerman dies)

Dana Birght: Reporter role (can see if someone performed a night action)

Greg Stillson: Mafia scum

James Stillson: Mafia scum

Malcom Janus: Possibly a Godfather role, but definitely Mafia Scum

Well I feel if I start telling who I jailed then that person might be seen more as a townie, which is good giving more people to trust. However, if I start doing that the scum party may want me dead so that people won't be somewhat cleared.

 

I'm saying somewhat because I don't know if it's more than one scum doing a group vote or what it is.

Seems like theres a Serial killer as well the mafia scum.

Yeah I don't think there is much to be taken from the votes and who died during the night.

They seem to be randomly selected or based on something they said.

This setup is new to me but I am going to guess that there isn't two people who can protect others as that seems like overkill.

iSocialism was suspicious enough to warrant a closer eye so unfortunately if Kaz wasn't trying to protect him he was probably trying to find out if he was scum or not.

There's little evidence to anyone right now.

What if the person I jailed last night was scum. That person could just say that their action was blocked and that they are innocent. Just because I blocked someone doesn't mean if they were to be scum that they are the only scum and I stop the killings. We don't know the roles, however I feel that there are more then one scummy person due to the overall numbers of players. Plus if the person was scum, they could just say that their action were not block, which would most likely get me lynch and then they get a free kill. 

 

As being the jailer I'm already targeted. I don't need any more reason to be targeted.

The point is to ask whoever you targeted (or claim to have targeted) if they had their night action blocked, which would imply they made a night action. if they did not then whatever it is irrelevant anyway and no information is gained. If they did then we can try to confirm your role isoc.

Reverend Purdy was on his knees praying when someone snuck up behind him and slit his

throat. Dr. Gibson has just finished treating a patient. She returned to her

room only to find someone already there. Before she could react she was shot

dead.

 

 

 

Killgor - Dr. Janet Gibson – Doctor – Town – Each night you may select a player, that player will be protected from death that night. You may not select the same player consecutive nights.

 

Dr. Gibson (kilgor) just got done treating a patient, so that would be the person room he visited. With that being said it would seemed as if he treated me, and then later was killed when he got back to his room.

 

Also Shepard if I did not leave my room, how could I kill someone. You guys are failing to make that connection.

Again because I can read, that's how I know your name is Chaplain of death. I could easily say someone name, either by lying or telling the truth. so let's play it out

IF I lied then yes, it is more likely for someone to come forward and say that his/her action was/was not blocked which would tell that I was lying.

IF I told the truth, then it is also easy for that person to be scum and say his or hers action was not blocked which would make it seemed like I was lying which would most likely be a guarantee lynch on my behalf. Giving the scums a free kill from lynching. I know that would also show that I was Anna Turner and you guys would know of one scum.

 

The person is inform that they are being jailed for the night. The person that I jailed knows 100% that they were jailed.

Night action being blocked is part of them being jailed, so regardless if they don't have powers they will still know.

 

I'm just more focus on the possibility of them being scum and saying that they were jailed and then being seen as a townie. I know that if they denied that they were not jailed that would guarantee them being killed within a few days.

I don't want the person I jailed to come forward and be a scum and say that they were jailed and fly under the radar.

 

If it's that big of a deal of me proving who I am "not actually being scum" Then I would rather be lynch. I know it favors me and might protect me from being lynch if I'm confirmed as Anna Turner, but I would rather die then to have someone fly under the radar.

 

If I get someone to confirmed that I'm the jailer it only saves me from being lynch. It does not, unless the person is foolish, force out a scum.

Keeping my silence, as I see it is better for you guys overall.

 

If I false role-claimed then the actual Anna Turner should come forward and have someone confirmed that they were jailed.

 

Also Shepard if I did not leave my room, how could I kill someone. You guys are failing to make that connection.
