You are talking about a direct-democracy, something that no nation ever had! Only some that hold binding referendums come close (like Switzerland) but nobody does it completely, thus also indeed not the US. And you admit to being "Democratic" but you aren't a "democracy"? You do know that #1 is an adjective pertaining to a noun (#2). If the USA was a Democracy, I would be able to vote against all the morons in Congress that don't belong there. I can't vote against them because they are not my elected representatives, they are the representatives of other idiots from other states that elected them to create legislation to affect my life directly. I can't help vote them out of office because the USA is a Republic, and in the USA, even the idiots have representation.

 

And for the xth time, you vote democratically, making you a democracy. Your system of government is Republic styled by representatives from states elected on 2 levels (per capita, per state) headed by a democratically elected President (electoral college is democratic, gasp!).

 

You gonna claim that your local town/city/... elected officials are working in a republic aswell? Offcourse they are also elected democratically. And offcourse this can (but doesn't have to) mean that some boundries in electing your representative is put in place. For instance on the many levels of gov in Belgium, my vote gets pooled in an larger pool of voters to pick my representative(s), this doesn't mean I am suddenly living in a republic...

Can't help yourself again. For the xth time... Democracy is a form of government where issues are decided by a majority vote. In the USA, it doesn't matter if 80% of the people don't like something... they have to live with it if the US Supreme Court determines that the US Constitution protects the other 20%.  We have 50 independent states... some are massively more populated than others... it doesn't matter, they are all equal because each state has only 2 Senators each, and legislation requires a 60% vote in the Senate for it to be delivered to the President for execution, or veto.

 

Each of the 50 states has their own separate Constitution, that lays out how that state functions. They can do whatever the hell they want, as long as it does not violate the US Constitution that they are all bound to follow. California, by their own Constitution, can run their state as a raw Democracy if they wish... but they can't force Oregon to do the same, neither can California decide who the President is from an overwhelming vote for a specific candidate. The USA is a Republic.

For the x+1th time, you guys are still a Democracy. Heck even more so then Belgium cause we don't elect our gov leader (aka your POTUS). And there being checks & balances in term of different chambers of government (we have a 2 chamber system aswell) or constitutional courts (we have that one aswell, le gasp) don't change 1 yota about your elections being democratic (which perhaps simpler put comes down to "everyone can vote and all have 1 vote").

 

Democracy isn't a form of government, it is a form of elective procedure to establish the people going to govern your nation (or like I said, the "system of elective enforcement").

 

Even funnier is that your decision making IS 50%+1 in format for most if not all of the things (as is in many other nations).

Funny note now that Trump keeps yelling nobody warned him about Flynn (now that nothing less then obstruction related filings in the form of a voicemail and other forms are being de-redacted) while it has been proven he was warned atleast 4 times about him! Some are even starting a pot about when Trump will backlash against Pence about this (as it was technically his show to run).

- House can't investigate POTUS

- Russia dossier suddenly went double jeopardy.

The Steele Dossier was the basis for FISA warrants... and Andrew McCabe has already admitted that the FISA warrants would never have been granted without the inclusion of the dossier in the applications for the warrants. McCabe was fired from the FBI for lying. They lied, withheld information, leaked information to the press so they would write articles about it, and then used those articles to support their claim that the dossier was legitimate. These people are all going down, and I'm stunned there are still people out there defending them.

I spai more Fox spin. Flynn's has even been sentences yet, they keep postponing it cause more shit gets dug up about him stepping beyond the lines of his deal with Mueller. Latest being those "interventions" from POTUS/WH council (aka lawyers) trying to sway him away from his deal and to be once again "in line" with the Trump-truth so afterwards he can get pardoned.

FBI did warn them, both campaigns had 'the talk' about what they could and couldn't do with foreign nationals/influences/governments. Easiest example of an obvious transgression is the Trump Tower meeting, funnely enough one of the few things nobody on Trump's side tries to state it never happended.

That's an excuse, and a really bad one. Who had more ties to Russia? Donald Trump? or Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton?

 

Easy answer... Obama, and the one that was married to a President, who was a Senator of New York, and was Secretary of State in the Obama Administration, had much more access to Top Russian officials, British Spies, Australian Diplomats, CIA operatives, and deep state cronies at the top levels of the Department of Justice and the State Department... and both are very well practiced in dirty politics.

 

My prediction is after the Horowitz report comes out in June, indictments will follow. Then they all start singing all kinds of different tunes against each other... the one that will probably skate is Rod Rosenstein because he has probably already made a deal.

 

If we need any help sorting all this out from Belgium, you'll be the first one I will ask.

You do know that the people you mentioned had ties from a profesional (as in their job) standpoint AND had both aids/support doing so coupled with oversight from the various agencies supporting them.

Meanwhile nobody even knows what Trump and Putin talked about in there already numerous 'closed doors' meetings. No wait, people do know, the russian aids allowed to be part of the meetings... Let alone his personal dealings with them.

Joe Crowley was like the #3 Democrat in the House, and he was never seriously challenged since he took the seat in 1998. He was totally blindsided by AOC when she took to the streets with her blabber mouth and wide open eyes. She was able to cobble together an entire 16,000 votes, and bested Crowley and his 12,000. This stunned the nation. So now we have a young, stupid, Socialist, pushing unpassable legislation that can effect the entire Republic of 350 million people... because 4,000 idiots in the Bronx turned on Joe Crowley.

Congress was never granted Constitutional power to pass laws that take rights, or liberty, away from these Americans in order to bestow greater rights, or liberty, to those Americans.
