TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread

Featured Replies

Based on play and experience...

Veterans: CD, KevinH, EM, Narsis

Intermediate: ccabal86, Nerau, Preston

Noobs: TerrorChrist, d3mon, CaoCao, Herodez

I'd wager that it is unlikely that all 3 scum belong to any one group.

Odds would have it that way CD but I would wager that Mole assigns his roles randomly.

This is correct - all roles are assigned completely randomly, experience (or lack of) plays no part whatsoever. -M

I suspect all those who've been arguing and accusing others of being scum, without any clear reasoning behind it, are scum. Electric_Mango is one of them. The other, I would have to scroll back for, but being at work, I might not make it unnoticed :)

I'm not really sure where you are getting this idea, especially since there is no evidence right now at all (that I know of) in order for anyone to go off of (I think the other person you are talking about is either Narsis or CD). You still have not explained what the "mopping up" business meant when we started which makes me think you misunderstood the rules and are in fact role playing a janitor.

Vote: TerrorChrist

Here are my suspicions so far:

TerrorChrist - Still has not explained his comment at the beginning which makes him seem like a janitor type

KevinH - I don't have anything really but my idea that you might have been trying to throw us off still keeps me from wanting to say your a townie (which is what narsis' original argument)

Narsis - You really seem serious in your accusations of kevin, ccabal, and d3mon although Kevin is the only one I have even seen anything suspicious from

Another thing I've noticed while looking over TC's first post is EM's first post asking where items are. Both posts could have just been in good fun but EM's post makes him seem like a customer if it were to be taken seriously (not sure what role this would be although it might just be a vanilla townie).

busy with school and stuff. i'll get around to collecting my thoughts and posting either later tonight or tomorrow.

i will say however that i very much mean what i said when i called those three scum, and still stand by it.

Your 3 are as good as any. More so with d3mon but I don't want to lynch a newbie on D1.

Heh, I'm flattered to be counted as Intermediate after just the one game; was a FUN game though!

I look forward to your post - which I am hoping will be a person-by-person list of why you suspect those three.

* I think you're reading a bit much into flavor where TC is concerned. Your thought that he might have been roleplaying too much before catching himself is a valid theory, but I'm hoping he'd know better than to reveal himself THAT openly if he were scum - and if he were slipup-revealing a role otherwise that would make him town, in which case we should want to keep him alive so he can use whatever power he has.

* Aside from the april fools' junk, KevinH hasn't really acted suspiciously - and joke or not the initial bandwagon on him actually makes me inclined to think him town; scum trying to secure a quick lynch before people thought about it too much.

* Narsis... per above, I'm interested in his logic and what he saw that isnt registering on my radar. I dont /quite/ think him scum because this is overt very early for scum - but that's not a solid defense.

When it comes time to lynch, I will vote for inactives unless another convincing argument is made.

I suppose inactives are a valid target when noone knows anything. Scum could be trying to sit things out and let the fingers fly without making a target of themselves. AKCPLUTO certainly took that tactic last game, and we didnt ping on him until late as a result. I could see veteran scum players telling him to be keep quiet when he can to avoid making mistakes too.

I hesitate a little on the inactive vote though because it is almost too safe/noncontroversial of a strategy - you're not really taking much of a position. Still, it IS day 1 and absent a clear target you may as well remove someone that's not contributing to the game thus far.

I am still semi-suspicious of d3mon, but if I had to vote right now I would probably vote for Herodez along with Kevin. Per above kevin is the only one I have any reason to think pro-town at present, hence his vote would stand a better chance of NOT being for a townie. Plus if herodez stays inactive... we'd just be removing someone that isnt really 'in' the game much thus far anyway. Though before we lynch it might also be worthwhile to ask for a prod to make sure we've given him a chance.

If mafia were in fact part of the bandwagon on Kevin that would mean Narsis, CanuckDynasty, Herodez, and myself fall in that category.

I have already unvoted because I only meant the vote as an April Fool's type of thing and did not want him to be lynched before we had a chance to discuss things.

CanuckDynasty seems to have a common thing with voting Kevin so reading into that vote is kinda hard.

Narsis is really sure of himself which like I stated I am not sure how he seems to think he knows who the mafia are already.

Herodez is suddenly inactive which could mean he just does not have anything to add to the conversation or he is trying to lay low.

Oh and very nice poem Kevin :D

This is quite the contradiction. You already voted no-lynch but are now wanting to lynch an inactive?

"CDs emoticon has a gun. He must be scum!"

this was my only post on page two and it was only a joke.

What? I actually REALLY have to explain that? We are in a friggin supermarket... I think that ought to be enough to put one and one together. Besides: whether I understood the rules or not doesn't matter. If I'd break them, mole would throw me out anyway.

Unvote.

Vote: Herodez

Now that's a prod.

Hey hey now...

It's not D2 and you don't have 5 votes on you.

VOTE COUNT

KevinH (3): Narsis, CanucksDynasty, Herodez

ccabal86 (2): Nerau, Electric Mango

Herodez (2): d3mon, KevinH

d3mon (1): ccabal86

Electric Mango (1): TerrorChrist

TerrorChrist (1): CaoCao

No Lynch (0):

Not Voting (1): Preston

With 11 Alive, 6 is needed to lynch.

KevinH deciding to lynch someone on D1.. :o

CD took care of the prod, so at minimum Herodez has a day or two to respond.

I'd rather replace an inactive vs voting them off. I remember there being some people on the waiting list.

I dont see anyone on the waiting list on the front page; it WOULD be shown there, wouldnt it?

d3mon thew out the "KevinH deciding to lynch someone on D1!", but that actually made me suspect d3mon more for the accusation in that statement. By the votes, KevinH was the only one even considering no-lynch... and while deviations from norms can be significant, right now KevinH has the most votes - if people are arguing to lynch SOMEONE, I'm guessing he doesnt want to be the one. Regarding the initial bandwagon on KevinH, I'd thought he had gotten up to 5 votes during the initial bandwagon but reading back it only looks like he hit 4 - I still think at least one of those had to have been scum, but have no specific suspicion yet.

Depending on how/when/if Herodez returns, I may end up voting d3mon.

Kaziocore and AKCPLUTO has posted for replacement in the sign-up thread.

Kaziocore and AKCPLUTO has posted for replacement in the sign-up thread.

In that case replacement IS possible then - that changes the picture, there's less reason to vote for herodez now. I had been thinking that there were no replacements available this game, and if herodez got modkilled it would be giving scum a free advantage - by lynching someone already inactive we'd avoid the double jeopardy.

I am still inclined to think KevinH town due to his being bandwagoned that early, hence his vote would have a greater chance of not being cast as anti-town... but now I'm leaning more towards lynching d3mon today.

We're almost putting too much thought into this day 1 lynch, but it's giving us a lot of useful information on who is attacking whom.

And I'm still waiting to hear Narsis' scenario information for his three picks - where is he?

-Preston

Its usually not this excitng on D1

I would prefer to inactives down first simply b/c it increase activity and if a scum kill if luck but more about participation

also i moved to early on my idea :P

though i want to try it later i believe it is to early right now for me to tell in the middle of all the randomize

I still don't have any scum vibes from anyone yet although if I had to vote, I would vote for the 3 most vanilla acting people, whoever they are. That is why I tend to believe Kevin, demon, and TC are townies. They have been the 3 most "provacitive" players so far. It's really hard to tell who's who on day 1 though. I'm better in the later stages and can't figure it all out on D1 like Narsis. :)
