All there is, are opinions. I don't have to agree with anyone's opinion, nor acknowledge them as fact. The only thing we have is to see who butts heads with who. It's d2 just because your talking doesn't mean your town. Certain players can be more talkative then others. Rafay is always a quiet player. This is the most talkative I've seen him been. I'm weary of people pushing his vote because of an easy lynch.

The only thing I have to note is why would people vote for me because of my defense of Rafay? If Rafay is scum, and I'm his scum buddy trying to protect him. Shouldn't you be voting for him first? Or would you prefer me gone first?

Rafay isn't just a quiet player. He doesn't contribute to the conversation in any way unless his head is on the block. Its day 2 so you don't have to agree or acknowledge as fact any other persons opinion but you should offer your own and you should vote your suspicions.

Really? Post counts don't mean anything. Except from the one instance I didn't find time to post on D1, I try to post at least one post everyday (or two days max) I have stated that I find CoD and FB leaning town and I want Rafay dead today to get some info. Maybe we'll see why people tried to delay his death on D1. It's funny how you only voted for me after Lyner pressured you to vote.

I wouldn't care at all about your post numbers should there be significant quality in those few you've produced. Unfortunately there's not much to read in there. As for the Rafay, if he's a scum then great, we'll have info and will be able to start confirming people and weeding out remaining scum. However this can be told about anyone that will turn out scum. Thing is how to find that scum and better question is "what's probability for this and that guy to turn out to be scum" and also "what happens if he turns out to be a town?".

Have you really answered those questions or are you just pushing it because he's easy target?

Reminder:

Personal attacks have no place in these games, let alone the IRON forums. Please refrain from attacking another person outside of the confines of the game.

I do agree, but I feel this issue is more with COD feelings towards me, witch is why I said he should PM about it. Carrying something over from another isn't helping. My door is always open to messages.

Opinion's like an ass - everyone owns one and most of the time they're different from each other. This shouldn't be however and excuse to hide your own. Rafay's more talkative because he's being constantly pressured (and also on the chopping block currently) so what it probably means is that he's afraid a bit (and it does not tell us if he's a scum or town being afraid of getting lynched).

Secondly, you believe Rafay's a town, but when you're being in danger of getting lynched, suddenly you're fine with throwing Rafay under the bus. Why? Is it that so you can say on the next day "I told you"?

Where do you gather the "info" of throwing Rafay under the bus. My comment was more towards the people voting for me. Also by a show of hands, who here believes I'm stupid enough to defend Rafay if we are both scum? The best bet to vote for me is the conclusion of me getting close to a town, so when they're lynched it would good for me.

So the argument of Rafay and myself are both scum is ridiculous.

The argument of the buddy system is better, but please why would I pick Rafay. AbT is the most town seeming in my book after day 1. I would have been better picking him.

Also in the case Rafay is scum and I'm town. D1 will be a day dedicated to lynching Rafay.

I'm going to stick with Rafay for now.  He's skating again,  hoping nobody notices him.

Notice this

This anti-town attitude has been nothing but a distraction and your crusade against me is baseless.

You're the one anti-town. You contribute NOTHING to the rooting out of scum, and even if you turn up town, I rejoice at your pending death. Your gameplay sucks and I'm sick of it.

I do agree, but I feel this issue is more with COD feelings towards me, witch is why I said he should PM about it. Carrying something over from another isn't helping. My door is always open to messages.

There is nothing to PM you about. My feelings are not personal, but addressing your play and overall behavior in game. I could list the various reasons why you appear scummy even though it could just be poor play, but evidently to point out potential scum tells is a "personal attack", or so I'm inferring based on his post and your response to it (notice I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you made a misstep as scum and not saying that you are totally inept. If I were doing so I would whole heartedly agree. I'm just using your own boast as evidence in my theory, if you don't like it, don't boast).

In regards to paying attention to past games and behavior, we had this conversation last game or the game before, didn't we? I still think that observing someone's behavior can give you good insight into what they are doing currently. It isn't an end all, it isn't going to win games in and of itself, but its a tool that shouldn't be ignored. I can't ignore it if KevinH suddenly argued for a day one lynch for example, so why should I ignore it if someone else's behavior changes from game to game? Does it give me definitive proof? no, but it does give me another data point to analyze, which is exactly what Mafia is about. Gathering as much information as you can so that you can make the best possible move.

If I have somehow overstepped my bounds TW then please elaborate for me in private so that we can hash the issue out, otherwise can we get along with the game?

Again, its more of you don't think I'm adding anything new, while I don't see you adding anything new either. Course the vote happened after I said I havn't seen you post enough to make an opinion on you yet. I'm not taking it back, and now we are seeing something new from you instead of going with the popular vote again. Witch is a Plus, even if the vote is on me.

I will now return to my spectator role in Kevin's game. Sorry Kevin.

During day one we are limited to vote for lurkers, unless someone badly screws up. Don't you agree? During the start of day two, at the time I voted for him, iSoc wasn't a "lurker" at all. Especially because he refused to respond that I began to nudge him more strongly. So both your points are misguided. Also funny how you put me on the suspect list just right after I prodded you, yet you voted for Kazio instead.
You've conveniently forgot to mention that our small conversation started because I've called you out and not the other way around. You're also trying to manipulate here - I've not mentioned you as my only suspect. I do recall stating few people, so why would I be forced to vote just on you (especially when I've not even listed you first)? Please explain.

Thirdly we're not limited to voting on lurkers...have you suddenly become a follower of KevinH's school of voting on people with the least votes? Above all we should be having conversation to get a feel of each player and make an opinion about them. And that's something you've been trying to avoid, only popping up once in a while to place a vote.

I was focusing on day two, but let's see what we could dig on day one.

Your points:

1. "You've conveniently forgot to mention that our small conversation started because I've called you out and not the other way around."

Irrelevant, whether you called me or not I would still post, albeit a little slow, as it is day one and I expect a lot of fluff posts.

2. "You're also trying to manipulate here - I've not mentioned you as my only suspect. I do recall stating few people, so why would I be forced to vote just on you (especially when I've not even listed you first)? Please explain."

Now this is missing my main point. It doesn't really matter if you voted for me or Isoc or Kazio. What mattered is that you only started to vote after I called you out (Kazio also pointed this out and you ignored it). The second lesser point is that you only put me on the suspect list also after I called you out.

3. "Thirdly we're not limited to voting on lurkers...have you suddenly become a follower of KevinH's school of voting on people with the least votes? Above all we should be having conversation to get a feel of each player and make an opinion about them. And that's something you've been trying to avoid, only popping up once in a while to place a vote."

Eh it might be an exaggeration to say that we're limited to only pressure lurkers, but you get the idea. We're talking about day one here. Opinions almost mean nothing since everyone knows nothing, and vote patterns reveal more information. About the popping up once in a while, see point one. At least I did vote. On this note, I saw something interesting after re-reading your posts:

-You voted for Rafay yet quickly unvote once the wagon built up to L-1. Something doesn't sound right here. I'm pretty sure some of us here (you and me included) are fine with killing Rafay on day one, partly because of his gameplay and partly hoping for him to change his playstyle. You, in particular, have actually encouraged it in past games. But in this game you aren't really tring. Starting from your bold first vote, telling Rafay to contribute to die, to passively defending him here and here, trying to divert attentions to other lurkers (Kazio, and supposedly, me on Day 1).

-You said that in this game we might not have safe nets and could probably only mislynch once, yet all you did during the day one and before I called you out is sitting around having casual conversations, without actually scumhunting and pressuring people with your vote. Contradictory much?

Probably, both Rafay and AbT are on the same scum team?

Anyway @FB, as SGB said (we both have played as scums with AbT), I wouldn't put it past AbT to deliberately direct the town to first day no lynch, to gain townie points.

More to come about other events, too tired and RL business :P

If it's irrelevant then why did you try to use it as an argument? It sounded nice at first, but when it turned out to be untrue it's irrelevant suddenly.

2. "You're also trying to manipulate here - I've not mentioned you as my only suspect. I do recall stating few people, so why would I be forced to vote just on you (especially when I've not even listed you first)? Please explain."

I did vote not because you called that, but because I've noticed I'm in fact the last one that didn't vote, except of Rafay at that time (due to KevinH's post which happened to be the last one at the time I came by). Should I really care about your callout, I think I'd try to dodge, argue for a few posts and then place a vote but not simply "obey it".

3. "Thirdly we're not limited to voting on lurkers...have you suddenly become a follower of KevinH's school of voting on people with the least votes? So now you claim we should all stay on that wagon and leaving it when it was hovering on L-1 was a scumtell? Did me leaving somehow put him of the chopping block? Or maybe he was still there because there were just 3 votes required for the lynch at the deadline and the only difference was that noone was able to prematurely finish the day.

What's more you didn't feel that way here. You appeared to be concerned back then and even unvoted too which in your own book is a scumtell. Let me ask you your own question then. Why did you jump of so quickly? There was no risk to suddenly end day anymore...there was actually no way to end that day prematurely anymore and maybe that's the reason.

Sure, I know what you'll say, you went "pressuring lurkers". So you voted your teammate and disappeared for the rest of the day. And no surprise, he didn't care at all about your "pressuring" (And what kind of pressure is that when you can't even be bothered to ask questions? You just vote and leave). Then you came back at the very end of the day and followed the majority, stating it's your preferred choice. My post you've decided to quote then were a common sense then and

Now to see your double tongue in full light:

- When you're jumping of the wagon when it's L-2  it's perfectly fine. When I'm jumping of the wagon when it's L-1 that's a scumtell.

- You're pressuring Kazio, I'm just "trying to divert attention to Kazio".

-You said that in this game we might not have safe nets and could probably only mislynch once, yet all you did during the day one and before I called you out is sitting around having casual conversations, without actually scumhunting and pressuring people with your vote. Contradictory much?

I'm again accused of not jumping on Rafay at every opportunity. Same thing happened in HP3 (in which SK won), where I wanted to lynch him, yet there were more reasonable options in my opinion (like lynching Lego or going for nolynch) Back then CoD (scum in that game) was using the same arguments to put me in bad light.

You also mention we both played as a scum. Yeah and back in HP2 I wasn't sitting calm, but pushing and fighting with half of the town. Quite different then how you descirbe my game now, so what exactly are you using that argument "I was with him as a scum" for? It feels like you're trying to trick others to boost your credibility, "because you have knowledge".

This is indeed my first game when I'm not jumping on everyone with votes, like I did every other game, scum one included. And this is the first one we're sitting at the LYLO doorsteps and I'm quite surprised to see some people jumping haphazardly and tossing their votes without a though about consequences. I'd rather ask questions and be sure about whom I vote on. And no, I don't find yours tactic of "at least popping out" superior.

What's more, while you're aware that we're much closer to losing the game than usually, you've no problem with lynching people you "think" are town, because putting us in LYLO is apparently "minimal risk" to you:

Rafay is a safe choice for day 1 lynch since he claimed VT, a.k.a. minimal risk to town. So go ahead if you want to vote him. I personally feel that Rafay is town again this time though. As AbT have stated we got a free no lynch with this setup (since there is no SK) so I'd prefer no lynch today. Vote: No Lynch

If it's irrelevant then why did you try to use it as an argument? It sounded nice at first, but when it turned out to be untrue it's irrelevant suddenly.

The context is different. Day one and day two are totally different. You poked me to make me active. I poked you because I'm suspecting you.

I did vote not because you called that, but because I've noticed I'm in fact the last one that didn't vote, except of Rafay at that time (due to KevinH's post which happened to be the last one at the time I came by). You noticed that you are the last one that didn't vote, and because of that you decided to vote? I think that also warrants a suspicion.

Your second statement is almost WIFOM, you might as well be smart scum or a confident town.

- When you're jumping of the wagon when it's L-2  it's perfectly fine. When I'm jumping of the wagon when it's L-1 that's a scumtell.

- You're pressuring Kazio, I'm just "trying to divert attention to Kazio".

You're putting words into my statements here. See the differences between your "unvote" and mine.

Yours:

- Because Rafay is almost lynched (L-1)

- Because you're afraid that lynching lurkers might be detrimental to town.

Mine:

- Because Rafay showed more activity this game.

- Because I wanted to pressure the other lurker (Kazio), with vote.

In contrast, all you did this time around was just stating the facts and implications, without any real solutions or scum hunting (I welcome all townies to search and check his posts). I think that was my general impression that lead me to all this details. You didn't feel like trying to find the scums this game.

Before I get too deep on the last part of your argument. Let me get this straight, are you seriously accusing that I and Kazio are part of the mafia?

The townies will be the judge of that.

The problem with "asking questions and be sure about whom I vote on" without actually voting on the person is, well, it's not very effective. Rafay and iSoc are the prime examples. See what happened when I try to poke you with a vote? I could actually change my opinion after this discussion, so the better strategy would be "vote and ask for questions so we can be sure about whom we vote on".

Another misinterpretation again on the last statement. It's not the lynch/no lynch, it's about Rafay. At the time he is:

- A self claimed VT

- A Lurker

- Is infamous for small contributions

I stand by my statement, he is the minimal risk choice if we decided to lynch someone on day one. The only basis for my feel that Rafay is town is purely because of his increased activity. Well that didn't last long.

Anyway it's almost deadline. Better make your choice, townies. Wouldn't want a sudden wagon popping on the last day.

I'm fine with lynching AbT/Rafay/iSoc/Kazio.

Given how this discussion has been going, I'm getting more and more suspicious of AbT. I still have suspicious feelings towards Isocialism still. Rafay and FB at this point I believe are 2 townies in a disagreement.

Vote AbT

Like I stated earlier, I think out of all the discussions D2 has presented this is our most beneficial to focus on. While I'm not in complete agreement with Lyner's style. I'm suspicious of his willingness to lynch Rafay despite him thinking he is a town. This doesn't scream out scum but more keep an eye on him for me. I just feel reading over AbT's style this game it presents itself as a more careful AbT trying to keep a town look.

Looks like everyone has casted a vote as well if I kept track correctly with no one at the 3 vote deadline limit.

I do feel Kazio is attempting more to contributing to the conversation now, So I'll

Unvote

I Feel Isoc is getting a free pass right now. People have asked him questions and he's avoided, he seems to know more then he's saying (Could be wrong), and I don't like his last few posts, They are unhelpful safe posts. Therefore, to prevent Isoc from getting a free ride and since he's my top suspect atim,

Vote Isoc
