US Elections 2014
Personally, I would like to see Mike Huckabee consider running again. Just a quick post in here for our dear President. I believe we will be getting our wish. Governor Mike Huckabee is announcing tonight that this evening will be the last show of "Huckabee" on the Fox News Channel. This is normal procedure for anyone FNC employs that will be seeking a political run. The Warrior, Sir... Mike Huckabee will be running for President of the United States.

How do you guys feel about guns now?
"Policeman" by Paul Harvey Needs to be added to the conversation. A police officer is a composite of what all men are, a mingling of saint and sinner, dust and deity. Culled statistics wave the fan over the stinkers, underscore instances of dishonestly and brutality because they are "news." What that really means is that they are exceptional, unusual, not commonplace. Buried under the froth is the fact: Less than one-half of 1 percent of officers misfit that uniform. That's a better average than you'd find among clergymen. What is an officer made of? He, of all men, is at once the most needed and the most unwanted. He's a strangely nameless creature who is "sir" to his face and "pig" behind his back. He must be such a diplomat that he can settle differences between individuals so that each will think he won. But... If the policeman is neat, he's conceited; if he's careless, he's a bum. If he's pleasant, he's a flirt; if he's not, he's a grouch. He must make, in an instant, decisions which would require months for a lawyer. But... If he hurries, he's careless; if he's deliberate, he's lazy. He must be first to an accident and infallible with a diagnosis. He must be able to start breathing, stop bleeding, tie splints and, about all, be sure the victim goes home without a limp. Or expect to be sued. The police officer must know every gun, draw on the run, and hit where it doesn't hurt. He must be able to whip two men twice his size and half his age without damaging his uniform and without being "brutal". If you hit him, he's a coward, if he hits you, he's a bully. A police officer must know everything -- and not tell. He must know where all the sin is -- and not partake. The policeman must, from a single human hair, be able to describe the crime, the weapon and the criminal -- and tell you where the criminal is hiding. But... If he catches the criminal, he's lucky; if he doesn't, he's a dunce. If he gets promoted, he has political pull; if he doesn't, he's a dullard. The policeman must chase bum leads to a dead end, stake out 10 nights to tag one witness who saw it happen -- but refuses to remember. He runs files and writes reports until his eyes ache to build a case against some felon who'll get dealed out by a shameless shamus or an "honorable" who isn't. The police officer must be a minister, a social worker, a diplomat, a tough guy, and a gentleman. And of course he'll have to be a genius... For he'll have to do it on a policeman's salary.

You have to keep things into perspective when looking at the USA. It's a big country. Ferguson-Missouri, New York City, and Albuquerque-New Mexico have a lot of miles between them... and even more people and police. The internet brings everything that happens on the planet to a mouse click. 50 years ago this stuff was happening all over, and no one ever heard about it unless it happened in your town. There was no absolute solution for it then, and there is not one now. There are some things everyone has to accept that there is no correct way... just the best way. We found it in the law. Whatever the ruling is, take it and learn.

How do you guys feel about guns now?
I guess I'm not getting it Master S... are you against cops in the USA? Against cops in the USA because they carry weapons? Are you a member of a covert shadow clan dedicated to disarming the global population? What's your point? What's the end game? Most of us here in the USA live our lives in peace and only hear about these events on the news. Though tragic... we will not give up our right to own guns because there are bad people. That is more reason for us to keep them.

How do you guys feel about guns now?
Well Mr. ihateaaron, that is an amazing story and I hope the guy bought you a drink. If it was me in your situation, I would not have had the pistol to draw, for I do not carry. So I probably would have got my butt kicked too. In situations like that, I forget I'm not a big man. If it was one of my girls, there would be fatalities... but my girls are pretty smart. I have been torturing myself to come up with a reply to some of these questions, so I'll give it a shot. Yes, I do believe that those in other countries are less free. They may feel free, but is there anything they can really do about it if something crossed the line? Too many put their lives in the hands of their government. We, as Americans, have a big problem trusting the government. That's why we change it up so much. We keep it fresh as much as we can, and stand by the law. Part of the deal was the power always remains with the people... and that power is, we're in charge. The gun issue isn't about these events of violence, accidents, and suicides. The gun control people use these events in an attempt to gain public support to take the guns. It's the only way to take the guns... it would take Constitutional power to take them. It's not about the guns with these people. It's about control, and the American people cannot be controlled, when they are armed. So it's not about the cop that shoots a black boy that attacks him. It's not about a loon that shoots up a school. It's not about the comic book character that guns down a theatre. It's not about the Congresswoman that stages a fundraiser in the parking lot of a Safeway without security... it's about Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness for about 310 million American Citizens. You want to say we can lose the guns and still have that... well we don't trust the government to keep promises.

How do you guys feel about guns now?
I think that's a good question Shah. A terrorist act is pretty much killing innocent people for the purpose of changing government policy. I believe an arguement can be made that this was for that purpose. Is it a stronger arguement than this guy was just a criminal that wanted to murder a couple of cops? To give it some "higher purpose" would encourage more people to view it as some kind of noble act. There is no evidence that he was acting on behalf of anyone but himself, and his own hatred. Still your question is a valid one.

How do you guys feel about guns now?
Yeah, different society, different thought processes I guess This Plus the fact that somehow the weapon lobbyist have found a way to connect the 'American' way of thinking towards freedom with the ownership and legalization of firearms. If those were photos of weed and you'd replace the word 'firearm' or 'gun' with marihuana, the whole discussion would be backwards. Okay I'm sorry, but this is just about the stupidest thing I have read here on the topic of guns. Firearms have never had to be "legalized" in the USA. It's in the Constitution that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. It's the "gun control lobbyists" that have been trying to get around that right for over a hundred years. Progressives cannot turn the country into a massive Federal Government as long as the American people are armed... and to trivialize the Bill of Rights with your insignificant need to smoke weed is insulting.

For whom? When you make owning a gun a crime... only criminals will have guns.

How do you guys feel about guns now?
Good morning Master S... I knew someone would mention this. People are pissed. I completely understand your position on this, but it will fall on deaf ears. This event will increase gun sales, and in the short term, not as many guns will be on the street. When police are getting gunned down while they're sitting in their cars, they will be on high alert and more likely to shoot first. This will make most criminal minds leave their heater in the closet. Not many really want to die. This was a bad man, who did alot of bad things. The only teachers he ever had probably told him all his life that he had no chance to make it in this world... because he was black. He hated authority, wanted to kill cops, and wouldn't even allow the cops to kill him. The real criminals here are Eric Holder, Bill De Blasio and Al Sharpton. They have created themselves a movement, based on "unity and solidarity", to get themselves some facetime on the TV... and bring together every looney left group of shit-heads, to get themselves some "dead cops". It's not the guns fault Master S... it's the people. Edit: I forgot to include that racist on-his-way-out Attorney General... Eric "I belong in prison" Holder. What a tool.

Taliban attack school, over 100 kids dead
I can't understand why the Taliban would do this. This kind of thing tends to create their own destruction. Waterboarding and drone strikes look like the appropriate response. They should be erased from the planet.

What's an "IRONincon"? How many IRONincons are there? and are you sure all the IRONincons are following you? You can get Foxy to make you a nice one. She's been doing great work, but Shah... I can't stop laughing, you are evil.

I like Rand Paul and it would be nice if more of the Republican Party would listen. Bill de Blasio is blaming the police, calling them racist, to deflect the blame from himself. It's the taxes that he is responsible for that has caused the problem. I myself, if I was the Mayor of New York City... I wouldn't want the entire police force hating me.

I was hoping you actually had a picture of her ass lol. Very disappointing Here ya go http://timedotcom.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/kim-kardashian-paper-cover.jpg?w=814 The big question is... who would pay $10 for this?

Suicide...
This is sad, period. But don't beat yourself up over it. It's not your fault, or was it your responsibility. I have had friends commit suicide for different reasons, but in all cases it's about them and something they could not deal with. Suicide is the most selfish act anyone can do, and the last act they will be remembered for. I hope the best for you, always.

Hi Ivan, Welcome to our conversation. I have to agree with you Sir. I am a fellow Southern Californian that moved away from that beautiful state... it just turned too blue for me, and it's not changing anytime soon. I'm familiar with the case you're talking about. I pay very close attention to national news and that's where I saw it. The biggest problem with all these cases is people don't stick to the facts. It's when you drift away from the evidence sitting in front of you, and start trying to create a case based on assumption of how people feel, that is when it just doesn't make sense anymore. It's like "Hate Crime" legislation just seems so crazy to me. I mean really... punish the crime, not the motive.

Funny you should say that... we have friends there. If things get too bad we'll try Texas. If that don't work we'll be drinking Foster's and choking on Vegemite.

I just found out that Eric Garner was arrested 31 times for selling illegal smokes. So I wonder how many times the cops had to tackle this guy to the ground? It may have been a case of "here we go again".

The only way the Feds can charge him is a violation of civil rights. They have to prove he killed the man because he was black. They tried that with George Zimmerman and they could not make a case. Like I said, they are stirring up shit for votes. No chance. Any way they can create division... Black/White, Women/Men, Rich/Poor, Gay/Straight, ect... raises cash for Democrats. The one time the table turned on them was the Tea Party. They lost their mind when Conservatives started protesting against them. The country can't take any more division, and if it doesn't stop it will get out of control.

Absolutely agree. New York City has jacked up the taxes on cigs so high that it's big money for people like Garner to head to the Indian Reservation and buy cigs where there is no tax, and bring them back to the city and sell them one at a time for mass profit. The cig store owners get really pissed off and complain to the cops. The cops roam in teams to arrest the street cig sellers. Man dies because of a cigarette tax. The cops were doing what they are ordered to do... but the civil suit that will come is easily won... the family will get rich and the city will pay bigtime.
