US training troops and Armored vehicles being deployed to Ukraine
I agree with everything Foxy said... including the Peace Prize thing. Don't underestimate Russia and their ability to wage war. They have proven time and again that technology can only get you so far. Ask Germany if they want to invade Russia again.

Give it up... paintballs can't go through walls and bullets can. I played paintball wargames for years. It's a game, and nowhere near reality. Plus if they knew they would run into armed resistance, they may have decided to NOT DO IT!... How about arming the police that were gunned down? You know? the ones that could only point their finger and yell bang? Did you run that scenario? What would be your solution? To have strict editors and make sure no muslim gets offended? Now that's liberty... Or maybe just try to keep the victim count as low as possible? "Gee we're doing good... only 134 dead this month" You guys are good bomb throwers, but nothing grounded in reality.

The Russians are really in trouble. You always know how bad it is by how loud they rattle sabres. I thought for sure things would get out of hand when they shot that airline down.

My boss might get fired...
Well if the rumors are true and your boss gets the axe, maybe you work for people that are smart enough to fire him and promote you.

Putin wants his empire back. Fox picked up the report from the Associated Press Mr. Zacch... drink more MSNBC Kool-Aid and stick your head further into the sand. Let's waste more time talking about the weather and football air pressure. We'll be here to bail you out when the shit hits the fan, because that's what we always do.

Is Edward Snowden a Hero or a Traitor?
Icewolf once again brings up good points, but this is all old news and reduced to everyone's opinion now. Missed opportunity.
-
Is Edward Snowden a Hero or a Traitor?
The only thing he needed to do was go to Senator Rand Paul. It would have been game over for the NSA.
-
Is Edward Snowden a Hero or a Traitor?
He should have taken his information to the many Senators and Congressmen that would have shielded him from prosecution. When he took his information to the press and ran away... he left the only friends he would ever have. If he spilled it on the Senate floor, the entire country would have rallied to his side. Then he would be a hero. Now he's a traitor and his knowledge is just part of the firewall. It has been a wasted opportunity.

Is Edward Snowden a Hero or a Traitor?
What is a hero? Really it's a person that has earned admiration from others for his brave deeds and noble qualities. The answer to your question is in the geography. What's his name? Edward Whogivesafuck?... I believe he's an American citizen and his feet are in Russia. That's a traitor. Heroes don't have to run and hide, and he lost the high ground when he chose to be a coward.

A Message to ISIL & ISIS
I do not agree with Bill Mahr often, but sometimes the Libertarian part of me goes "yep" in a big way. On freedom of speech and Islamic terrorism... he gets it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipu0ifyC-Xc

A Message to ISIL & ISIS
Just look at Edward Snowden lol, denounced citizen and branded traitor for exposing the truth. Edward Snowden was branded a traitor because he took his information to the press and then defected to Russia. If he took his information to Senator Rand Paul he could have testified on the Senate floor and avoided prosecution with congressional protection. There is a huge difference when you could have worked with your country to expose shit, but instead you expose shit and take your information to the enemy. He could have been a hero whistleblower, instead he chose to be a traitor. You know what sucks the most is I don't think any of it changed anything. The NSA has not skipped a beat.

A Message to ISIL & ISIS
I'm in full agreement with our friend, Duderonomy. You never punish the speech... if anything, you can punish the harm to reputation and financial loss from the effects of excercising free speech. Did we happen to see the same film today? I highly recommend everyone to see "American Sniper". What an amazing film, and the best of all that I have seen about the Iraq War. There are 3 types of people... sheep... wolves... and sheep dogs. Chris Kyle was a sheep dog, and this movie was a proper tribute to a true American hero. RIP Chris Kyle.

A Message to ISIL & ISIS
There can be no limit on free speech, not in the U.S. anyway. Anyone that wants to anywhere else... good luck with that. We will be dealing with this for a very long time. They have been killing people for centuries over their religion and it will never end until they end it. The problem that we face is they will not keep it contained in their little area of the world anymore. They are now bringing their grief to us, and stupid leaders are allowing them to do it. When they hit again... and they will hit again... we will all get pissed off enough to go over there and destroy more countries. This will continue until the world unites under one front to eliminate the threat. I have always known that we will have no problem drilling through glass for the oil.

This requirement was intended to protect the nation from foreign influence. Unfortunately there is not much to protect the nation from itself. We are a nation of laws, and with those laws, lines have to be drawn somewhere. There have always been snarky remarks about hating immigrants, but they still keep coming. I think we can have one job in this country that you must be born here to hold. Most of us at least feel a little safer when we have a Constitution, and not just a ruling class.

Attacks in Paris
Hello Theo. It was not my intention to insult you. It was my intention to shine light on how rediculous the notion is. World leaders fall over themselves every day to get a piece of the world influence of Rupert Murdock. J.K. Rowlin is an author of childrens books, and her greatest challenge of the day is will she have tea before or after her bath. It's scary who pop culture creates, and then grants them all this intelligence that they don't have. I was wrong about all Governors being qualified to be President. Arnold Schwarzenegger was Governor of California. Not qualified to be President because he was not born in the United States. John McCain was also born in Panama, but he got a pass on the restriction because his father was an naval officer stationed in Panama when John was born. My apologies.

I'm sorry I had to go bowling so I have not been here to respond. I said I was not an authority on religion, I'm agnostic and I don't care. As I understand excommunication, it's a Catholic thing and many Christians don't give a fig what the Pope has to say about anything. I guess I should have said that it is my opinion that anyone who was, or is, a Governor of a state is qualified to be President. Being a Governor of a state is very similar to President. That is why Governors always are the best Presidents. I'll put it in a way even Democrats can understand... Bill Clinton was a far better President on his worst day than Barack Obama has been on his best. Not saying a Governor cannot be so bad at the job that it would make people run the other direction... but I am saying George W. Bush was well qualified for his two terms and Sarah Palin was well qualified to be John McCain's VP. John McCain didn't win and if he was ever a Governor it would have helped him. Anyone who thinks J.K. Rowlin knows more about the world than Rupert Murdock is stoned. I'm done talking about religion.

George W. Bush was Governor of Texas. Sarah Palin was Governor of Alaska. Qualified to be President? Yes... J.K. Rowling is the author of Harry Potter. Lucky she found suckers to buy the books, and Hollywood ate it up. Opportunist? Yes... Rupert Murdoch owner of Newscorp... Knows more about the world than J.K. Rowling? Yes...

Catholics buy into that whole excommunication thing... Christians do not. My British cousins know a lot about this stuff since their excommunication and the formation of the Church of England. King Henry VIII gave the Pope the finger and the world changed forever.

I'm not an authority on religion. Like I said earlier, I grew up in Christian schools, not because I came from a religious family, but because they were private schools and I don't remember any private schools when I was a kid as being non-denominational. I went to military school, and one thing I know for sure is I went to one that was 50 miles away rather than the Catholic one that was 15 miles away. So my mother was absolutely against me going to a Catholic school. Islam is either Sunni or Shiite, from my understanding. I don't know the difference and I really don't care, but I believe it's much like the difference between Catholic and Christian. Rowling in her little tweet says she's a Christian and would auto-excommunicate Rupert Murdoch. Excommunication is a Catholic thing... not a Christian thing. So I think she's just trying to be clever. What worries me the most about your post is that it's more based on emotion and a desire the throw shit. Posting a tweet from a billionaire author of fantasy novels, and comparing her view of world affairs over a billionaire who has lived his entire life reporting on world affairs, is nieve at best. It's right up there with posting a tweet from Kim Kardashian about Charles Krauthammer and fawning over her astonishing intelligence.

US Elections 2014
Icewolf has a solid grip on the problems Republicans have with issues. When Republicans are against the Federal laws, the Democrats will paint them as totally being against the issues. That is not the case, and they have a very hard time changing that narrative because voters don't think hard enough on what can happen later. Republicans are against a Federal minimum wage. Every state has their own minimum wage, with their own economic conditions. A "living wage" in San Francisco is vastly different from the "living wage" in Salt Lake City. States are the best place to set their minimum wage... but of course Democrats will say we are just greedy. Democrats will never tell you that they only want a higher income to tax more. Perfect example is the recent decline in gas prices. OPEC doesn't like the U.S. creating our own energy sources, so they drop the price of oil to try to make us stop. Gas prices fall, and the Democrats jump at the chance to scream about raising the Federal gas tax. Democrats don't see prices falling as making life easier for the American people... they see prices falling as money they can take and direct to their own programs. So who's the greedy ones? Anytime there is money on the table, the Democrats have to spend it.

You should leave IRON and join FAN is what it means. They'll like you. If IRON doesn't like me they have not let me know it yet. I myself would get bored if everyone agreed with me all the time. I don't think I would be happy if I had to live every day without a Shah, Rhizo, ccabal, Fox Fire, Samus ect. ect. ect... the diversity makes life so much more interesting. But that's just me I could be wrong...
