The Mafia Choose Weird Places to Invade - #1

 

The IRONTown Baths was quite a popular attraction for families and the rest of the inhabitants of the town to relax in the pool or to get some exercise in. Right now, however, it was fairly quiet. The pool had some die-hard swimmers and stubborn children left in, but there were plenty of staff around too.

That was the time Godfather Tony chose to invade. Shortly after the first shots were fired, sirens went off, and shutters fell, cutting off the pool from the outside world.

 

Now, the innocent people of IRONTown had to find out who the mafia were, and make sure they didn't live to invade somewhere else slightly strange......

I'm not sure what to make of this. I clearly have it in my role description that I'm moving at nights...

Also CD, I'm not sure who I would peg as the 3rd scum. I don't really have strong feelings on any of the remaining three that I haven't listed.

 

Now, if you want to unvote me and vote for ccabal86, that would be swell. With some extra time, I'm sure I could figure it out.

I do know that you did not move during N1 since I am to receive a list of all who moved on N1.

 

 

This development puts your head on the chopping block while saving EM's neck.

I can't help but wonder if this is a ploy to get EM on the townie's good book and removed from suspicion.

Since I know that I'm supposed to move at nights, I automatically assumed that you were simply told that I was town and made up the "some action" part to sway the mafia.

As I said in my previous posts...I only know who moved.

The info I received listed who moved and in a few lines down, separated by hash marks, I was informed that Player X was not mafia.

 

Thus I reasonably assumed that Kasabian and EM were mafia.

Not knowing that there would be so many small pro-town power roles.

 

I find it difficult to believe that we have so many negative roles that would harm the town's ability to hunt scum.

 

One or both of you (EM and ccabal86) are lying.

Just got home and skimmed the thread. Was very much not expecting more roleclaims - very interesting. I'll have more time to spend examining this later in the evening, but here's some initial reactions.

 

We now have TWO insomniac roleclaims, and a claim from KevinH at having a weak town role that isnt one-time.

 

Based on the plethora of one-shot roles we seem to have, I suspect that no two roles have been duplicated.

 

For ccabal, I am somewhat mystified by the claim being made. Per CD's statement, there is no reason for him to roleclaim - unless he was attempting to put the finish on EM by claiming the same role EM did and expecting CD would back him up. Ccabal's initial no-lynch stance could be based on a role suggesting a cop of some sort exists, though I am curious as to why he didn't react far more strongly (or at all) to EM's insomniac claim when it was initially made.

 

@ccabal: You said your role states you are moving at nights. Is this the extent of your ability, or does it have some other component to it?

 

@kevinH: When I posted about my ability I made clear that mine was negative - it does not help the town at all, but neither does it hurt the town in a significant way. You used the word 'weak' - does your role help the town at all, or what? I find it very curious that you would have a useful, non-one-shot role as opposed to those others uncovered thus far; it would appear to break the pattern. What exactly do you mean by 'weak'?

ccabal86 has not claimed insomniac,only that he wanders at night. I'm waiting to hear from him what exactly his role is.

BSYou know why? I'm the one with the aimless wandering role. I am Player X who CD saw on the camera, he can confirm that. Mole probably bestowed this role upon me to confuse our security guard. It all makes sense seeing that there are probably no, or only very few vanilla townies.I kept quiet so far, because I was waiting for the right time to expose myself letting you believe you can get away with a false roleclaim.Here is my theory: Kasabian did the killing and you're probably a rolecop who investigated for townie roles.

Well, I guess It's time to tell the whole truth, which is very unfortunate, but I have no other choice. I really assumed CD would back me.

 

I'm a Curious Child, meaning that I wander at night and I may or may not find out things during my walks. I have no control whatsoever over this ability. However, I assumed if given time, I would stumble over something useful. This is why I voted no lynch and this is why I tried my best to "not ruffle any feathers" as any unfounded claim by me could be regarded as a "hint" if I happen to be killed. Unfortunately I have found nothing during N1 and 2, I never even got a mod PM.

 

Why did I make the roleclaim? Yes my plan was to seal the deal for EM, while convincing the mafia that I have no particular use, or have an outright negative role - such as an insomniac. As I said, I was 100% convinced that CD would back me up.

 

Now that I think of it, this makes me a bit suspicious that I may have a false role. After all, that would explain why CD didn't see me on the camera - I never moved. But if I have a false role...EM may very well be an insomniac as he claims?

I made the first claim, because I believed myself to be wandering as well, but didn't want to reveal that info just then. I can understand the purpouse of 1 wanderer to possibly confuse our security guard, but 2? Highly unlikely. But it would make sense for EM to wander if my role on the other hand was fake...
