And this is before we have come to realize that there is probably no cop in this game.

I want to hear more from ccabal asap, as that seems to be the main loose end to tie up.

 

All else being equal, at present I am thinking I'll vote for EM.

 

I maintain his 'insomniac' role is plausible in light of my own negative role, but at this point there is a lot in favor of lynching him - either due to his guilt or to test ccabal/CD/roles in general during this game.

 

1. If purely a negative role (interferes with investigation) with no corresponding upside, why wasnt it claimed on day 1.

2. If it implied the existance of a cop, it could have been mentioned on day 1 without compromising the identity of any townies and greatly affected the no-lynch talk

3. Manner/timing of the claim in response to attack

4. Ccabal's inexplicable roleclaim pits the two of you against each other, so ONE of you needs to be tested.

5. If EM's claim IS 100% accurate... then all we would be losing is a townie with no beneficial role.

 

We need to think about the implications of both cases prior to this lynch: What would follow if EM is scum, and what would follow if EM is town. I want to hear both sides of this from people - CD of course, but others as well.

 

The absolute WORST case I can imagine is as follows:

CD has been scum, using a mafia 'Plant evidence/fake postmortem' skill to make Kasabian appear scum so we're actually down 3 townies. Lynch EM and get down 4, night kill down 5: game ends tomorrow.

I dont think this is terribly likely (or I hope not) but since it's possible I want this out there - if for no other reason than that if it DOES happen I can say I called it! XD

 

The absolute BEST case I can imagine would be we lynch EM and he's scum with an intel/roleblocking role - we get more time and reduce mafia's effectiveness.

After my initial reaction of disgust to ccabal's grammar, I went back and compared the victory condition EM pointed out to the one in my role PM... it's actually not as far off as I'd originally thought. Barring the phrasing, the numbers are right at least.

 

Further, upon rereading the "in every aspect, you are an ordinary townie" line jumps out at me since it does resemble the way mole began my post, though for me it wasn't a separate sentence since he then tacked on the downsides of my role.

Allright, let's think this over.

 

CD saw 3 people move, right? Player X, EM and Kasabian. I was certain that I was Player X CD was talking about, since my role clearly states that I'm moving at nights...The big question is...why didn't he see me?

 

 

Well, I guess It's time to tell the whole truth, which is very unfortunate, but I have no other choice. I really assumed CD would back me.

 

I'm a Curious Child, meaning that I wander at night and I may or may not find out things during my walks. I have no control whatsoever over this ability. However, I assumed if given time, I would stumble over something useful. This is why I voted no lynch and this is why I tried my best to "not ruffle any feathers" as any unfounded claim by me could be regarded as a "hint" if I happen to be killed. Unfortunately I have found nothing during N1 and 2, I never even got a mod PM.

 

Why did I make the roleclaim? Yes my plan was to seal the deal for EM, while convincing the mafia that I have no particular use, or have an outright negative role - such as an insomniac. As I said, I was 100% convinced that CD would back me up.

 

Now that I think of it, this makes me a bit suspicious that I may have a false role. After all, that would explain why CD didn't see me on the camera - I never moved. But if I have a false role...EM may very well be an insomniac as he claims?

If ccabal says that mole confirms he always wanders even if he sends no night action and noone targets him, and CD didn't see him, then there are a few options.

1) ccabal's role is false; he is scum

2) ccabal's role is real, but something prevented CD from seeing him.

3) ccabal's role is real, and CD is scum - Kasabian was either a genuine sacrifice or a mafia postmortem alter.

4) ccabal's role is real, and mole made a mistake

 

2 and 4 are not likely, but possible. 1 and 3 are the two you mentioned... and as I said in an earlier post, if CD really IS scum then he has done a VERY good job of stringing us along.

The role is described in 3 short lines. Even though I had deleted my message earlier, I remembered what it contained, but to paraphrase I needed the exact text.

Is this your paraphrasing of the role PM or the exact text? The exact text. I tried my best to basically mirror what mole said. This includes the win condition, that's exactly what it says. It does differ stylistically though.

No, the role PM is clearly states that I have no control over the ability. Though I did ask him after N1, if the reason for me not recieveng any sort of PM from him is because I haven't found anything. He said yes.

d) Did you ask mole if you would show up as wandering every night even if you didn't find anything? Again, (in my eyes) the role PM is clear on this: the wandering is not optional, and always happens

Agreed. The assumption has now been proven false due to the increase of small/weak townie abilities. EM role is wondering aimlessly much like ccabal86. I can see ccabal86 point of not seeing him cuz he didn't pick anything up.

@ccabal86 - I believe your claim to be a townie. I see absolutely no reason for you to paint a target on your back by coming out the way you did. It makes absolutely no sense if you were scum.

 

 

@EM - with all the small pro-townie abilities, I'm inclined to believe that there is a mafia roleblocker and that you are that person. It would justify why I would be able see your movements where I could not see ccabal86 at all. Therefore...I'm keeping my vote on you.

I'm surprised that there is no quasi-investigation information forthcoming from anybody.

Perhaps one of the voters on EM is doing so with more knowledge than just "agree with CD."
