[TW-01] Cybernations Mafia - Town Win!

http://www.conradaskland.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/cybernations.png

Cybernations Mafia

Only the following roles may exist in this game:

Vanilla Townie, Bodyguard, Commuter, Sane Cop, Role Cop, Vanilla Cop, Flavor Cop, Doctor, Friendly Neighbor, Follower, Gunsmith, Innocent Child, Jack of All Trades, Jailkeeper, Mafia Goon, Mafia Encryptor, Mafia Godfather, Mafia Ninja, Mafia Strongman, Mafia Traitor, Mason, Miller, Motion Detector, Neapolitan, Neighbor, Neighborizer, Nurse, Roleblocker, Rolestopper, Serial Killer, Tracker, Universal Backup, Vigilante, Voyeur, Watcher

The following modifiers may also exist in this game:

Ascetic, Backup (with or without primary role present), Bulletproof, Enabler (with or without primary role present), Even/Odd Night, Macho, Neighbor, Non-Consecutive Night, Weak, X-Shot

Assigned character names are various alliances from Cybernations. Ignore all current Cybernations foreign relations. The current treaty web has no bearing on the assigned characters. Alliances were randomly assigned as "good" or "bad" roles so one's personal opinion of an alliance will not necessarily translate to this game.

Finster is following around voting for whoever Shah/Canik votes. Shah/Canik-Rhizo-FB are all working in tandem.

Hardly. I keep my own counsel on who I vote for.

I still have you marked up as scum as well, with your quick and baseless accusations.

With 18 alive, it takes 10 to lynch or 5 at Update (Deadline).

Update (Deadline) is Friday, May 6th, at 9:00am CN Server Time (CST).

Something interesting that Chaplain of Death and Finster Baby did:

1. Both comes to defend Canik immediately as a "new guy"

2. Both are silent during the Shah/Imran/AbT debacle

3. Both supports Canik's accusation of me immediately instead of adding more solid facts

A coincidence? more like a scum maneuver by using the day talk

I'm calling it now: Canik-CoD-FB-Kazio with one or two more suspect, most likely inactive

1. I always defend a replacement. No 2 players play the same, and Canik may not have wanted to run with how Shah started out.

2. Shah was replaced right after his "debacle" As such, since we do have a new player, while his particular commentary lends suspicion to me that he is scum, with a new player and potential new style, how am I supposed to say with certainty that Shah/Canik is scum? With new information, I still have suspicions, but not enough to run with a vote.

3. The accusations against you are substantial, and you really haven't, IMO, supported your commentary more than to try and deflect attention.

So, while I could still flip back to Imran as my vote, as I'm still very convinced he's scum as well, your commentary leads ME to believe you're scum and worthy of a lynching.

Convince me otherwise, and I'll change my vote back to Imran.

It would be a bad idea to vote for me. Kaziocore is far more suspicious.  Lyner is always scum apparently, so this time he might not be.

Did you just give away a power role?

And yes he is. He's playing strangely this one. But then again he has been inactive lately even when he mods.....

The town has to guess right to make a lynch. If players aren't going to bother to vote, they are not helping the town to guess right.

So we got a group of players trying to get Imran lynched for some fake reasons. It wasn't working so now they're pushing with absurd accusations against another player they perceive as a threat (due to his post #347). I'm pretty sure they'd like to hit me too, but I look more town than all of them combined (though nothing's lost, I might simply get killed at night).

So when: "Samus's a prophet" and  "AbT's good cop and Imran's bad cop" arguments didn't fly now they try to sell us "I got nothing from last night, sort of" as a solid proof of someone's being a scum. I bet 75%+ of players here do have a role and it was no luck that Samus who got killed also got a role.

And we have faithful Finster that's "keeping his own counsel" and following Shah's / Canik's lead just from the very beginning of the game just by accident. Let's not forget he was already swayed and ready to vote against Shah...but unfortunately he didn't manage to do it in time, because Shah's got replaced (therefore making his character innocent virgin again). I also wonder how many capital letters will Finster use this time to fake sorrow after townie's dead again.

All in all I don't really care if Lyner get's lynched or not. If he turns out to be a scum it's good for town(which I don't really believe, since I'm not really convinced that one line "I got nothing from last night, sort of" is a proof...maybe I'll need to do more "falling back on it", just as Finster did to see the light). If he's townie, that's not bad too, because that means (Shah/Canik) - Finster team is highly suspicious and it'll be really worthy to check, using 10 pound hammer, what's inside their heads.

Shah's last posts if anything made him look more scummy.

Canik's posts and accusations are much better and at least based on some info that can derived from posts made in this game. However, a new player does not mean that a players role has changed. Its probable that Canik is playing a lot better as scum than Shah was. He just has to do a lot of back-pedalling (from shah's posts) which he is already doing and damage control to climb out of the hole that Shah had dug for him. That is if I am correct in my assumption that Shah is scum.

So even though Canik's posts make sense, I am not gonna follow any lead he is throwing out until I am convinced otherwise that shah was not scum. But his attempts at scum-hunting are commendable so I will see if he can actually contribute in the later days to the town.

Unvote

I am going to vote for my next most suspicious player in my short-list.

Vote: Rhizoctonia

Ample evidence was provided in my earlier posts regarding his scummy behavior.

Please point me to these?  I would love to see all these earlier posts regarding my scummy behavior.  No, this again is Imran being Imran, throwing out shit without any justification but because he thinks whatever he says everyone should follow.  Are you upset that I clearly pointed out that you have no problem lynching D1 when there's nothing to go on, but suddenly on D2 when there's still nothing to go on, but you're suddenly the the target to possibly to be lynched with nothing to go on you have a problem?  It's all fine with Imran, unless he's the target.  Or wait, is it the fact that I claimed your bandwagon reason was crap and way premature, and then Robert and I believe Ali even agreed?  Or is it, you've accused Shah, Isocialism, Samus, and myself of all holding grudges from other games because that has to be it, only reason to disagree with you.  Because anyone who speaks out against the almighty Imran has to be scum.

The one person who called your playing style "Aggressive"  is spot on.  You're quite aggressive, and arrogant at that.

Finster is following around voting for whoever Shah/Canik votes. Shah/Canik-Rhizo-FB are all working in tandem.

Lol?  The two most working in tandem and most looking to defend one another is you and ATB.  The only thing me and Shah has agreed on is you accusing everyone under the sun of holding grudges from past games.  Please tell me how I've worked in tandem with anyone?  I've not even voted, nor have really said much due to real life besides calling out your BS. But again, please go on about this, because I'd love to see all this proof we are working in tandem, or how I've followed anyone.  No it's merely you and ATB working together defending one another, while looking to lynch people who voted or spoke out against you no more evidence to back it up as anyone has for voting someone else.

Still processing what's been said and playing catch up.  Need to review it all as I've yet to see anyone post any evidence from N1 and all I've seen from quick skimming when I've had time is people having little at good evidence to indicate anyone, but at this point my vote

Imran

Update (Deadline) is Friday, May 6th, at 9:00am CN Server Time (CST).

Hey, don't jump on me just because Imran has voted on you. Handle this between yourselves, will you ?

I'm not jumping on you for Imran voting for me.  But i was accused by Imran that 3 of us, Shah, Finster, and myself are working in tandem.  Which again, I'd like to see all this proof from Imran.  But since he wants to bring up working in tandem or people just following one another, I'm surely going to point out where the same could be said about him.  Shah when here felt the two of you seemingly were defending one another and working to take the heat off Imran, Lyner in his post #297 he also agrees with Shah that you two seem to be working in cohesion, and add me to that list that believe your responses and choices have made you look to be working together, that's 3 people who feel the same way.  So if someone want's to start throwing out accusations of being suspicious of working together, well Imran himself and you have been called out for the same.

What I find is funny, is you two are both the ones to take heat off one another.  God forbid someone agrees with someone else their suspicion of Imran, you both quickly do whatever to push the heat elsewhere, or try to suggest people are obviously working together.  Sorry, it's been pretty obvious to 3 of us, maybe more, so yea.

Imran has claimed he picked up on suspicious posts on D1 before, but when Samus might of as well, in post #302 by Imran he claims Samus isn't some Mafia God who can pick up he's scum by some random posts.  So what, are you some Mafia God Imran that only you can?  This just continues to prove the arrogance of Imran, as he believes and has claimed to be able to pick up on such, but god forbid Samus does..."no he's a noob."  Imran likes to use who he suspects with their posts, but when someone does the same about him, he resorts to saying that's impossible, and calling people noobs.

Everytime Imran's attacked/suspected/argued with, he resorts to personal attacks, attacks a person ability to play the game, and throws out accusations of using former games as a reason that they can't be right.  I hate this tactic, it's in my opinion a scummy play to use to try to save yourself.  It's a nice way to try to persuade others not to vote him because maybe's that all it is, or stop people he claims are holding grudges for voting for him, because even though they may truely suspect him, now that he's thrown it out there, if they do vote for him, it makes it look like they may of held a grudge.  It's crap, and I don't personally appreciate such play.

Look at the facts, people who have voted for Imran and or called him out in the case of myself (i hadn't even voted him up to an hour or so ago) get the, "your holding a grudge" comment at them.  Samus, Isocialism, Shah, and myself had Imran throw that out at them.  4 times in a single game he used it.  4 times he has tried to direct any suspicion or vote for him as possibly holding a grudge.  I mean seriously, maybe once in a game I could see, not this many.  This is also the person who was sold it was Shah, then he is replaced and suddenly Canik joins and changes from Imran, and suddenly all the evidence of earlier posts Imran had against Shah doesn't matter.

Imran has now voted me.  He didn't explain why, just a simple many posts by me proves it.  Please enlighten me?

I called you out for baseless voting for you claiming bandwagon on someone and voting them, for which several people have agreed with me.  I've called you out for your accusations, which others have agreed with, and or called you out for.  Seems to me, the majority of the posts I've had thus far, many have agreed with.  Up to this point, I've yet to speak out with evidence or suspicion due to time I had and the fact I was hoping someone would come forward with something.  Up to this point, I hadn't voted for anyone nor tried to make a claim of it.  Yet you, have tried to make claims on plenty of people, from Avatar, to Shah (who suddenly when replaced he's not), to me.  All I see is scum trying as many options possible to get a lynch mob on someone with soft claims and hoping people bite.  You saw the ability to lynch Shah was no longer there, as others had changed their vote, so suddenly you start onto the next person.

I always claim Lyner to be scum every game, so there's a better chance of hitting scum with him over kazi. However that's a lame excuse though. I don't feel like voting for someone if I think they might be town. I don't get a town vibe from either, but also don't get a scummy feel, besides the lyner is always scum vibe. My vote is in the stance that I know one will be lynched by days end. I believe tying it up right now will provide more info for the next day.

Vote Lyner

Yes, strike for the weak side, ignore the main argument  Tell us what concrete benefit could scum possibly get from my "I got nothing from last night, sort of" besides cuing that I have some sort of power role.

I had already addressed it. Which is why you're asking for something "besides cuing that I have some sort of power". I didn't feel the need to re-address it, and assumed you were just being intentionally obtuse and trying to create an repetitive back and forth to numb and confuse voters to the issue. The fact that you now give some acknowledgement that I did indeed make an argument, and was not so vague, only strengthens my belief that you were being intentionally obtuse.

I'm not suggesting I faked claim, I told you one of the possibilities. If you're truly townie you should keep this in mind for yourself instead of trying to reveal my role and risk tonight's targetting. If I claimed some power roles, more power roles will target me tonight and scum will have easier time picking a low profile target.

You didn't definitively say you faked the claim, but you definitely suggested you might have. Now you seem annoyed that we are considering this possibility.. and you think true townies should just ignore it? lol okay

As for "trying to reveal your role and risk tonight's targetting", you say right after that, that even if you claimed a power, other power role townies will target you tonight and scum will have an easier time picking a low profile target. So do you think it's a big risk or not? Make up your mind please.

Anywho, it's true you may get protection tonight but the scum can mark it down for later. In general, it just doesn't seem wise to advertise you have powers to the scum. Especially when you have nothing to report. Does this not seem like common-sense to everyone else?

Good thing that you pointed out scum is likely to target Mandarijn, Now they're less likely to target him, no? Now we go back to square one except the town power roles have something to consider instead of blind targetting tonight

And the scum have something to consider instead of blind targetting as well.

Absurd accusations? Imran thought my opening post & concerns made sense: http://ironcentral.org/community/topic/56759-tw-01-cybernations-mafia-day-2/?p=852901

Though somehow he goes from that to confidently stating me/Rhizo/FB are working in tandem a few short posts later.. simply because FB also thought my accusations/concerns made sense too. I have 0 idea how he worked Rhizo into the equation though.

Hehe, I really get the feeling here that some people are thinking OMGUS towards me but are avoiding making the OMGUS votes because they're experienced and that's pretty much Mafia 101. It's one of the 1st things you learn playing Mafia.

Also, AbT. I did not claim the "I got nothing last night, sort of" post was solid proof. Now who is twisting words and making things up? :P I simply said I found it suspicious. Lyner's response made me more suspicious, and so I voted for him, but even now I wouldn't claim it's 100% solid proof.

I'm calling it now: Canik-CoD-FB-Kazio with one or two more suspect, most likely inactive

You honestly believe there is 5 or 6 Mafia with the half-majority rule? I find that insulting to TheWarrior's intelligence and ability as a game-master.

Also, basically what you are saying is "everyone voting for me is scum + some inactives!" OMGUS much? :P

I honestly believe there are 5 scum.  Rule of thumb is 25%

I might've overstepped my knowledge there some. I am still rather new to Mafia.. but I do think 20% if pretty common, balanced by town having weaker powers. And I would think normally, you wouldn't want Mafia to be able to vote on their own without any town help.. but yeah, guess I could be wrong about it.

I believe the goal is to find out who is scum and lynch them with the 10 votes. I mean, it'd make sense. If there are 5 scum and 14 town, 10 of the town lynch 1 scum before the deadline, the scum can't pile on townies during the day as they'd lose a vote and have the rely on night time.

Good point, it could be 5 and still be balanced.
